![]() Henry Cottrell Jr., Gulf Breeze Zoo was established to provide an educational opportunity for visitors of all ages. Visitors can explore habitats ranging from tropical rainforests to African savannas, and observe close encounters with exotic creatures such as giraffes, zebras, monkeys, tigers, and more. Located near the Gulf of Mexico, the zoo provides access to over 900 animals from six continents. You also won't find 100,000 of your new BFF's trying to simultaneously share the experience with you and it won't cost you $600 to get a family of four into the park for the day! There is also a nice train ride (extra fee) and a play area for little kids, too.Gulf Breeze Zoo in Pensacola Beach, Florida is a wildlife refuge and conservation center that allows visitors to experience the beauty of nature up close and personal. So if you're looking for an experience to rival the San Diego Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo or a Universal, Six Flags or Disney Theme Park, adjust your expectations accordingly, you won't find it here. For older kids who can't life their faces off their iPhones, they'll probably think it's lame and too small. As I said, this is great to make a day of it with parents, grandparents and kids up to 12. And, I especially appreciated that even in "normal" times, there were hand sanitizing stations or wash basins EVERYWHERE! The exhibits are ample sized and well maintained. Well laid out, much of the pathways are shaded, (great in Florida in the summer!) where there isn't a tree canopy, there are many places to duck into the shade for a bit. ![]() Just 50 acres, so it's an easy walk for small children and their grandparents. This delightful private zoo is a true gem on the panhandle Gulf Coast. He likes to swipe the entire cup of feed out of your hand and run off in a mad dash very pleased with himself. The parking lot is packed during the summer and winter months there is a lot to see and many animals to interact with just beware of the Carmel. However, let's face it, zoo are expensive to run and animals must be well cared for. A family of 4 could easily spend $100 in an afternoon between admissions and food to feed the animals which of course is on every child's list of favorite things to do. My only hesitation in giving this attraction a higher rating is the cost of admission. There is also a picnic area to rest and indulge in your appetite. It covers the whole park and offers a close up view of many species. ![]() A must do on your visit is the train ride. ![]() There is a wooden tower to observe grass land animals such as antelope but is equipped with ramps as well as stairs. The paths through the various exhibits are smooth and strollers and wheelchairs have no difficulty maneuvering. One of these sweet little guys decided he loved my grand daughter and kept trying to stow away in her jacket pocket. The bird enclosure is full of multicolored parakeets that fly free and love to nibble on seed from specially constructed popsicle sticks. Some of my grand children's favorite pastimes were feeding the giraffes and alligator as well as the bird aviary. Visitors can feed and pet various animals and even a Llama who just might decide to spit. The animals are well cared for and content. Bottom line is if you were disappointed in the past, come back and enjoy the changes. Now a new day has come for this little zoo and new owners have taken great pains to restore and improve the property. This zoo was almost closed a few years back and had been poorly maintained. We sifted through products with styles ranging from tactical to traditional as well as contemporary options with unique designs and features. In order to narrow down the huge pool of RFID-blocking wallets, we considered what's in our own pockets and thought about what you need for a daily carry. If you're carrying multiple cards, three slots probably won't cover your needs, so look for a wallet that has more card slots and consider one that won't expand over time due to stuffing a bunch in there. ![]() Some people like to keep it super slim to hold in their front pocket and therefore can do without carrying cash or excess cards, but others may want room for extra bills-they should opt for a cash-carrying option like a money clip or bi-fold. The capacity of your wallet should match what you want to carry daily. A synthetic like nylon ripstop maintains its shape longer than leather, but may have too casual a look for some people's taste. Metal options are great because they maintain their grip on your cards over time and stand up to daily wear and tear without ripping or getting scratched, but they typically have limited storage space. Wallets made from leather and fabrics have card slots that stretch over time, making it easier to get your cards out, but also may result in accidentally pulling all of your cards out when you're just trying to reach for one. RFID-blocking wallets don't just come in metal or techie synthetics-the blocking technology can be built into leather, nylon ripstop, and other fabrics, meaning you can find one to fit your style. There are plenty of options to choose from when searching for a wallet to hold your daily necessities and giving you that little extra layer of protection and peace of mind. Some wallets have blocking technology built into just one pocket, but others have an entire exterior made with it to ensure you have nothing to worry about. RFID-blocking technology is essentially a fabric material that blocks scanners from transmitting nefarious frequencies through your wallet to your cards. RFID-or radio frequency identification-theft is a rare occurrence, but it happens in high traffic areas despite the fact that it's easily preventable. Plus, nobody wants to be mid-travel when they realize their card's been locked due to suspicious activity. RFID-blocking wallets protect your banking information from being scanned and stolen via the chips on your credit cards, and while your bank likely has your back if this happens, an RFID-blocking wallet is an easy extra step of security. ![]() The same goes for protecting your money, even in digital form. We put cameras on our front doors and maybe even have one inside to watch what our pets are doing while we're away, but it's not because we're paranoid-it's because security gives us peace of mind. ![]() In this study, Karen gives women practical, biblically based steps for knowing what to say and how to say it, as well as when it is better to say nothing at all.
